A comment on Jezebel just totally blew my mind. The comment basically states that the difference between the salaries of traditional man jobs and traditional woman jobs is that man jobs give you the ability to afford a person. At the risk of revealing how totally dumb I am, I never thought of the wage gap in exactly those terms. That's a completely brilliant way of looking at it.
